Castor oil is extracted by crushing the seeds of the castor plant and its scientific name is Ricinus communis. Growing castor plants is a great opportunity for the farmers to earn handsome money within 180 days. He can earn in lakhs by growing this plant twice a year. The plant does not need that much of water facility but drip irrigation technique should be used twice a week.
The cash out of castor bean varies from Rs.4000 per quintal to Rs.4500 per quintal. The bore that is produced from the output is separated and then packed in gunny bags and sold to the traders or companies.
